Ever Dependable

I think trench coats have become like security blankets for me.  I won’t say how many I have, but I will say that they are all necessary and play their own special part in the life of my wardrobe.  This Zara one is the newest addition and I love it.  The large pocket detail, the length and structure, and the camel shade all attribute to this fine example of a trench.

And is there any outfit that doesn’t work with this classic?  I think not.  However, I’d like to say that they work best over paired back uncomplicated clothing.

Gingham Ruffled Pants

My gingham ruffled pants have become a coveted wardrobe hero.  Ruffles are huge this year.  You won’t be able to budge without getting a ruffled sleeve or hem in your face.

Last year it was all about giving it some off the shoulder, while that trend still holds it’s own add gingham ruffles this season.  All Spring I searched for these very pants after seeing a pair on Pinterest.

Ditch any tablecloth notions too.  This girl next door fabric has been given an edgy twist you’ll love.  I have a weakness for black and white prints.  It looks great with denim, leather, lace, and here I paired it with an eyelet blouse.  When the weather cools off put on a chunky grey knit and white sneakers.

Excited already of the use I’ll get out of these pants- date night, or to get out of my jeans uniform!  When I tried these on in the store they were a sure sale.

Gingham pants and just about any white top and sandal is a great day to day look.
